The client contacted Cambridge Roofers Ltd to advise and supply a quotation for the best possible roofing system to achieve the visual finish depicted in the architect’s drawings. After some deliberating and exchanges, it was decided that a coated steel standing seam would offer a similar performance specification of 25 years lifetime at a much lower cost to the client of the proposed Zinc standing seam.
The works were completed to specifications as follows:
Scope of works:
To supply and install metal roofing to new residence and garage of the following characteristics: –
• Manufacturer: Euroclad Limited (see www.euroclad.com/vieo).
• Profile: Vieo.
• Depth: 25 mm
• Cover width: 454 mm
• Length: Single sheet from Eaves to Ridge.
• Colour: Slate Grey RAL 7016
• Thickness: 0.90 mm.
Roof cladding supplied and installed complete with bespoke Ridge, Eaves and Barge board
flashings. All fixings and system secret fix clips will be stainless steel.
To supply and install raking valley gutters (again fabricated from 0.90 mm thick colour match
Vieo material).
To supply, you and install bespoke weathering to Five number VELUX style roof lights.
Supply and install 18mm thick marine grade plywood, fixed directly to roof trusses, Vieo separation fleece, laid over the marine ply, prior to installation of the outer sheet.
