Hamond Square Liquid Roofing Felt Project
Cambridge Roofers Ltd recently completed a roofing project at Hamond Square in London, working with Grays Inn Capital Ltd and Principle Estate Management. The project’s goal was to extend the roof’s life span and improve waterproofing with a new Centaur liquid plastic overlay system.
Project Challenges
Safe access was achieved with full scaffolding, site security was maintained throughout, and unpredictable weather conditions were managed to keep the programme on track. Coordinating with residents was another challenge, as access to flats and communal areas had to be carefully scheduled to minimise disruption.
Our Approach
Cambridge Roofers carried out detailed inspections before work began, recording conditions inside the property to ensure areas were returned to their original state. Gutters, downpipes and hoppers were cleaned before roof preparation. The existing felt surface was power-washed, treated for organic growth, and repaired where needed before applying the Centaur liquid system.
Scaffolding and safety measures were managed to UK HSE and CDM standards, with a full-time site manager ensuring smooth operations. Reinforcement materials and primers were applied to upstands and perimeter edges, guaranteeing complete waterproofing coverage.
Results
The Liquid Roofing Felt Project at Hamond Square was inspected by Centaur Technologies to confirm full compliance. Residents now benefit from a watertight, durable roof with enhanced protection for years to come.
