Cambridge Roofing

Through recommendation, the client called Cambridge Roofers to come and assess a newly installed garage conversion roof that had failed. Upon surveying the roof, it was apparent that a number of design flaws had caused the roof to fail.  To make matters worse, the client’s poorly installed roof was causing ingress and damage to the building fabric of the neighbouring garage.

Cambridge Roofers were then instructed to re-design the flat roof to create an independent drainage system for both roofs.  This was achieved by installing firrings and re-directing the fall from the back to the front of the roof.  The client also requested a warm roof construction to comply with building regulations so a small gulley had to be created to allow for sufficient upstands of 150mm (BS 6229).

This was achieved and a building control certificate was issued by Cambridge Roofers to the client. As accredited members of the ‘Competent Roofer’ scheme, Cambridge Roofers can self-certified documents for LABC compliance.
