affected a lead-clad curved turret at The Glades. The primary challenge revolved
around implementing precise and targeted localised repairs to maintain the
functionality of the turret while minimising unnecessary intervention.
This approach was pivotal not only in preserving the turret’s essential
functions, but also in strategically curbing any superfluous repair work. By
pinpointing the specific areas affected by the storm and efficiently addressing
only those sections, we optimised the repair process from the outset.

Method & Sequence
Our strategy began with a detailed evaluation to preserve functional lead
and selectively replace only damaged sections with Code 6 lead. Precision
was key throughout — from detailing to permitting.

A full assessment of the curved turret identified which sections of
lead remained sound and which required replacement.

Damaged sections were replaced with Code 6 specification lead, keeping
intervention to the minimum necessary.
Precision Detailing
Cord timber rolls and welted joins were used to achieve seamless
integration between new and existing lead on the curve.
Hot Works & Welding
Hot works permits facilitated localised welding repairs on site,
ensuring long-term durability of every joint.
Code 6 Lead Panel Replacement
Precision Panel Installation
For lead panel replacement, we installed 9 m² of Code 6 specification
lead panels, meticulously aligned with the existing curved structure, with
optional patination oil treatment offered for enhanced long-term durability.
