The UK’s largest roofing trade association. You are appointing an established roofing contractor that works to recognised industry standards and a professional code.

02

Options

We set out the sensible routes, such as repair, overlay or replacement, and what each depends on.

03

Delivery

We plan access, phasing and protection around the people and operations beneath the roof.

Responsible for several roofs? Move from reactive repairs to a plan.

A survey shows what needs attention now, what can be monitored and what to budget for. Ask about planned maintenance and refurbishment for your portfolio.

Planned maintenance

Questions before you enquire

Can roofing work go ahead above an occupied building?

Often, but it needs a survey first. Access, phasing, temporary weather protection, noise and the activities below all have to be agreed before a programme is set.

Can you work on asbestos roofs?

We list cladding over asbestos as a service. Which route is right depends on the condition of the roof, the structure and the building owner’s plans. Asbestos information and a professional assessment are needed before a method is confirmed.

Can a drone survey replace a close inspection?

A drone survey gives quick visual evidence, especially on large roofs. It cannot confirm every hidden defect, so close inspection may still be needed before a specification is issued.

What should I send with an enquiry?

The site address, building use, roof type, photographs, any leak history, available drawings or reports, access restrictions and your target dates.

Tell us about the roof.

Useful to have to hand: site address, building use, roof type, photographs, leak history, access restrictions, any asbestos information and any existing reports or drawings.
