Cambridge Flat Roofing:

The customer contacted Cambridge Roofers and requested advise on the best solution to fix their flat roof.  There was some confusion over triggering of part L1b of building regulations, and the need for insulation.  It was explained that over 50% of a roof covering must be renovated before the need to involve building control.

As is standard, 3 options of 10 year, 15 year and 20 year IBG (insurance-backed guarantees) were offered to the client.  They elected to go with a 15 year felt covering with 120mm insulation.  There were some complications involved with re-building the barge-board and removing the first course of slates to accommodate the additional 120mm of height from the insulation.  This was skillfully overcome by our award-winning felt roofer Justin Halford as can be seen from the photos.
